PLANT PROPERTIES
Calendula is an all round saviour! known as the sunshine herb beacause of its golden petals, it is warming, but also drying and helpful for clearing cold damp conditions. it is a known antifungal, anti-inflammatory, and antibacterial curative plant which makes it useful in healing wounds, soothing eczema, and relieving nappy rash. It's also antiseptic, it killing bacteria, and also operates on the level beneath the skin, "maintaining a healthy flow of lymphatic fluids and thus keeping a consistent supply of immunological components and preventing any infection from spreading...best for wounds which are swollen puffy, red inflamed ….” Sajah Popham Evolutionary Herbalism.
Chamomilla matricaria - Gentle Chamomile helps reduce inflammation, soothing redness in sensitive, reactive skin, and conditions like rosacea and sunburns. For babies skin massaging it in will calm and soothe, and adults too!
Stellaria - Chickweed is cooling and cleansing, easing itchy rashes and inflammatory skin conditions, such as eczema, erysipelas and burns.
This is a light fluffy, buttery salve for ease of application.
